Campground Membership

About Campground Membership

The campground membership has some positive and negative points of view.

If you look through a directory of private campgrounds, you will notice you need to have a membership, which cost a fee.

These campgrounds only allow members to enter the park for the reason of camping.

Anyone showing up without a membership is turned away. Now some people find this more convenient than going to a state park or other open camping parks.

The only thing I think about why people choose this way of camping is for fear of having neighbors that might not be a good fit for their company. Now, when I think about camping, I think about meeting people from all lifestyles, yes some may not capture my undivided attention, but still I like to meet people. Just that they drink beer and like rock music is no reason to judge people. Besides, everyone likes to have fun when camping.

With a membership, you have no worries about your neighbors and their habits. Private campgrounds have strict rules and regulations and following them might be harder to do then you think. There are some other positive reasons, one of which is the nightly campsite rate will be lower with a membership whereas a public campground charges a slightly higher rate. Now finding beach camping parks will not be hard to do, since most private campgrounds do have a beach or pool area for the camping quests.

If you decide to become a campground member and buy a campground membership, you can expect to meet the people you already know, but if you travel to other campgrounds in the membership directory, you will meet other people as well. I still prefer the public campgrounds, I have so much fun and I really do not need to seclude myself from different lifestyles.
