The Cajun Food And Camping In Louisiana

Camping In Louisiana

The one thing that can be said about Louisiana is that they have some wonderful campgrounds and some incredible Cajun foods and recipes.

I went catfish fishing and caught supper one night.

My wife found a recipe from one of our neighbors and made the catfish that way. It was absolutely delightful.

I never had catfish that way. I sat with a guy from Florida that came up every year during the summer to camp. He took me to some of the lakes where you can catch different types of fish. I must say we had some fish dinners every other night. The fishing is great.

Since we rented a RV this year because of the baby, my wife was happy that we found a campground where there were other mothers with young children. They would spend hours talking about what to do the next day. We did some sightseeing, visited a museum in Shreveport, and looked around a parish called Monroe.

I was impressed with these areas and what they have to offer. We went there in the early summer so we would miss the hurricane season. I wanted nice days with no rain. It turned out to be beautiful.

I though about moving to Louisiana, but because the camping is so great, I decided to just spend my summer there and live in the north where we have snow for outdoor winter activities. Camping is fun to do even when you have a little one. It was not much different from being at home.

We had a great time and enjoyed the fishing and conversations. The nights were warm and peaceful. We did manage to take in a bicycle outing and saw some beautiful land. I had to be careful where I took my wife because she is afraid of wild animals, but it was a great time.
