If you ever want to experience pine forests and sandy beaches, in one vacation, than I can tell you that Mississippi is the place to go camping for the summer.
Frankly, I expected the buildings along the state to look worse, after all that Hurricane Katrina did in the area, but I was quite impressed with the determination these people have in rebuilding their houses, their businesses and their lives.
As I am an outdoor enthusiast, I was more interested into seeing the natural beauties of Mississippi, but, accompanied by my daughter, I visited quite a few of the quaint little villages in the state.
For her, this was the best fun vacation in her ten years of life, and I must say that I was very happy seeing her all worked up about the attractions we encountered while camping in Mississippi.
She especially enjoyed when we visited the Marine Life Oceanarium, and I let her enter the water and pet the dolphins.I believe in offering proper education to children inside the family and that is why I took my daughter to see the places where fierce historic battles were fought during the American Civil War.
Still, I did not forget that the purpose of the trip was to offer my child a dream vacation, so we moved on from the historic battleground to the white beaches of Gulf Islands.Mississippi has indeed a lot to offer. I think that there are hardly any other states that can offer such a wide range of outdoor activities, like hiking, swimming, horseback riding, fishing, biking, jogging.
My daughter also loved to talk to the rangers in the parks that were teaching children about how to behave when they are in the woods and I found that to be very educational, too.We took a lot of memories back home, with us, from this vacation. I am sure that my daughter will not forget about it for a long time.
