Last year, we decided to go camping in New Jersey, before the extension of our family, to have some time on our own.
We had just received the news that we would have a baby, and we believed this to be our last vacation as a family of two. We are both nature lovers, a sentiment that we want to instill in our kids, too, and New Jersey really has a great scenery to offer to people like us.
We followed the waterways of New Jersey embarked in a canoe, and we did a lot of wildlife viewing while on these trips. We also had a lot of fun during the time that we visited the beaches in New Jersey. They really offer a wide variety of beach activities there, like snorkeling, surfing, boating, swimming, and, of course, sunbathing, for those that just want to relax.
My husband suggested to take some of the biking trails that cross the entire state. It was an incredible trip! As I like bird watching, I had the chance to see during our biking adventures, birds from the area like northern diamondback terrapins and blue herons.
Camping is also a great experience in itself, when visiting New Jersey. We spent some time in our sleeping bags looking at the stars besides the lakes, but we also loved to shelter in the lovely wood cabins that are spread all through the state. There are many other things to do in New Jersey. If you like golf, there are many great golf courses there; also, if you like to fish, fishing is an activity that attracts many people in the New Jersey area.
The state is a home for great nature wonders, with many natural parks and forests; winter is also a great time to go there, I heard they have some great skiing trails!
