Connecticut, known as New England is famous for its warm summers and abundant snow in winter allowing travelers outdoor activities all year long.

There are so many things to see in Connecticut.

Within its compact borders, it offers forested hills, shoreline beaches and historical villages as well as new urban skylines.

Do not forget – Connecticut is not only a vacation land, it is also a thriving business center.

One of the main attractions in Connecticut is Mystic Seaport. It is a fascinating museum and a place that is worth making the trip to. Here a visitor may see historic ships, explore the recreated 19th century coastal village, see exhibits of art and artifacts and cruise along the Mystic River in a coal-fired boat. The unique Gillette Castle - home of William Hooker Gillette, (famous actor who played the original Sherlock Holmes) is located on a 184 acre estate in East Haddam and it has the appearance of a medieval fortress from the outside and as such is amazingly popular attraction of Connecticut.

One of the nation’s oldest amusement parks is the Lake Compounce in Bristol - an ideal place to spend your vacation with the family.  The largest beach in Connecticut is Hammonasset beach State Park. It is a popular place for families with scenic natural beauties.

Connecticut is the home to many museums. One of them - devoted to Native American history, arts and culture is the Mashantucket Pequot Museum. Visitor's story......

For the purpose of an adventure around the state of Connecticut, I decided to get a pop up camper rental Connecticut and go camping.

Sounds like a boring trip to start with for most, yet the trip was quite exciting and tons of fun.

While many others are having to spend time looking for a hotel, checking in, checking out and so on, I was able to spend my time simply roaming around the state and looking at everything that Connecticut has to offer.

I decided to spend most of my time at Devil’s Hopyard which had a beautiful 60 foot waterfall called Chapman Falls.

The purpose of the trip was simply to get away, and that I did. On my own I was able to explore numerous parks, walkways, do plenty of hiking and really get in touch with nature, all without ever having to sleep on the ground.

The ability to really connect with nature is something that seems a bit important at times, after all with all of the stresses and strains of normal everyday life, being able to get away is always a great unique challenge that is just waiting.

I was able to imagine that I was alone in the world at times, just me and the trails and with plenty of beautiful waterfalls to look at as well; the entire experience was something that I would call really unique and thrilling. I will never forget the breathtaking trip to Connecticut and I am quite glad that I decided to go.

The next time I venture that direction I may take someone special with me, especially since a pop up camper Connecticut is large enough for 2 and the beautiful views make it perfect to share with someone.
