Directory of Campgrounds: Tent and RV Camping Parks Alaska (AK)

Alaska is situated in the northern extremity of the continent, bordering the Arctic Ocean to the north, and the Pacific Ocean to the west and south.

It is the least densely populated state in the USA.

It is known for its mesmerizing views, glaciers and mountains and nature full of legends.

It still has active volcanoes; the Augustine Volcano has erupted recently in 2006. While some of the areas of Alaska are too rough to enjoy, many areas have a wild beauty that has to be seen.

Alaska is also known for many legends about goldmines and lost dreams of many generations who got rich or perished during their journey to find gold.
