Tent and RV Camping Parks Missouri (MO)
Missouri is also called the “Show-Me State” which is related to the unofficial state’s motto “Show-Me” having its roots in political debates at the turn of the 19th century.
But Missouri is also called “The Cave State”, as it has more than 6 thousands known caves.
And I guess this nickname is speaking much better to the potential visitors.
The state has very big urban areas, such as the regions of St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, and Columbia.
Missouri has varied geography with the Ozark Mountains on the south, vast plains on the north and the Missouri River valley in between. The territory was part of the Louisiana Purchase from the French Crown.
The state is named after the river Missouri, which in turn is named after the Missouri Indians tribe that inhabited the area for centuries.
Let's start with this introduction to Missouri's nature..... After watching this short video I'm sure you will start planning your visit to this beautiful but little know state.....

The area is known for Amish settlements. This is a great opportunity to learn something about them from the first hand, to visit Amish’ shops (they usually offer quality goods), to buy probably “the most organic” food you can find on the market….. But pay attention when driving – you have to share the road with horse-pulled buggies.
